The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 1984 with MSRIT among the earliest institutes in Karnataka to introduce the CSE program in the curriculum. The Department has received funding for research from AICTE and Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS). The post graduate program was introduced in 1999. The department consists of highly qualified and experienced faculty members who have won several accolades and recognition in the industry.
