AP PGECET 2016: Application Form, Important dates, Exam Pattern

AP PGECET 2016 officially known as the Andhra Pradesh Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test is a state level entrance exam for organized for admissions in ME/M.Tech/M.Pharmacy courses. The exam is conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) with the support of the A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), a constitutional Body of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad. The candidates who want to get admissions in postgraduate programme in technology, engineering, and pharmacy can apply for this test. The applicants who already appeared in GATE/GPAT tests need not to take this entrance test as they will be admitted on the basis of their GATE/GPAT scores. Every year numerous candidates appear in this test, which is generally conducted by the JNTUK in the month of May. AP PGECET 2016 Eligibility Criteria:
  • Applicant should be an Indian Citizen.
  • Candidates should possess Andhra Pradesh domicile and must meet the confined or non-local status necessities as prescribed in the regulations of admission.
  • Candidate should have scored at least of 50% marks (45% for candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in B.Tech/ B.E./AMIE in the relevant disciplines
AP PGECET 2016 Important Dates (Tentative)
Official notification will be issued on: Second week of March, 2016
Commencement of online application form: 2nd week of March, 2016
End date of the online form submission: 3rd week of April
AP PGECET 2016 Admit Card Downloading date: May, 2016
AP PGECET 2016 Examination Date: last week of May, 2016
AP PGECET 2016 Application Form
AP PGECET 2016 application form will be available online only. Candidates need to visit the official website of authority and apply for it. No other mode will be offered to the applicants to apply for the AP PGECET 2016 entrance exam. The AP PGECET 2016 application form will be available most likely from the second week of March, 2016 and the official notifications will be released from the first week of March, 2016.
How to apply:
The applicants can obtain the application form either from the official website of AP PGECET or from the AP online centre. First of all, applicants have to make the payment of applicable AP PGECET 2016 application fee then, they will be able to fill the form. In order to fill AP PGECET application form successfully and without any hassle follow the below steps:
  • After going through the official website link, the candidate will become able to view the application form.
  • Candidate need to fill all the relevant details accurately as prescribed in the form.
  • Provide all your academic and personal information in the form.
  • They need to upload the scanned copy of recent passport size photograph and signature cautiously in the prescribed field.
  • Make a click on ‘agree’ button before submitting the application form.
  • After the successful submission of application form, a unique registration id will be generated. Applicants are advised to keep this registration ID safe with them for future use as it will be required at the time of downloading admit card and view the result.
  • As the applicants click on ‘Confirm’ button, shortly a confirmation SMS has been sent to your registered mail id and the same id also contains the copy of the filled application form.
AP PGECET 2016 Application Fee:
General category candidates have to pay the fee of Rs. 500/- and Rs. 250/- for candidates belonging to reserved category. The applicants can also apply for more than one PG exam under AP PGECET 2016, but they have to deposit separate application fee for each test. The payment of application fee can be made via credit/debit card or also through AP online centre.
AP PGECET 2016 Examination Pattern
The test will comprise of 120 multiple choice questions (MCQs). Each correct answer will carry one mark and the cutoff mark in the AP PGECET 2016 will be 25%. The AP PGECET 2016 exam will be conduct in English language only. The total duration of the test will be 2 hours i.e. 120 minutes.
AP PGECET 2016 Admit Card
Applicants can download the admit cards online in the month of May, 2016 by visiting the official website. All you need to do is simply enter your valid registration ID, Date of birth and registered mobile number.
AP PGECET 2016 Result
The AP PGECET 2016 result will be announced most probably after the three weeks from the scheduled date of examination. They can view their result online as it available on the official website.
